Join us for fun, fitness and friendship

Scottish Country Dancing is energetic and fun, so it's a great way to meet people and keep fit. It's also tremendously good value at only £4 for each evening. Beginners always welcome!

  • Scottish Country Dancing is more complex than ceilidh or barn dancing; it involves your brain as well as your body.
  • Come to our weekly practice classes to learn steps, formations and simple dances for fun and also to prepare for forthcoming formal balls and dances.
  • You don't need a partner. We usually dance in sets of six or eight people and change partner for each dance.
  • If you fancy dancing over swords, check out our Highland dancing page. Highland dances are for individuals, often performed in competitions and displays.
  • No kilts required, just wear loose clothes and soft shoes.
  • Our term dates are about the same as school terms but we finish a little earlier in the summer - check the classes page for details.
